phone message - Karen's Musings

phone message
no phone message from a neighbor that begins, "Hi Karen... I hate to sound like the bitchy complaining neighbor, but..." can ever be good.

Actually, it wasn't so bad. An exterior light on the side of the house shines into her bedroom and lights up the whole room making it hard to sleep. I just wonder where messages as innocuous as this can lead in the long term....

Current Mood: tired tired

She doesn't have blinds?

apparently it "shines right through the blinds" which leads me to believe that she didn't close them. Or that she needs curtains. That light's been there for decades and I know that it must have been in use because that was the light that would have been on for the tenant in the basement to get to the basement apartment. So there's no way this could be a new problem.

Poor woman. She will have to realize that you prioritize your personal safety (e.g., not falling down the stairs at night) over the darkness in her bedroom. Someone play her the world's smallest violin.

Let me know how it works out, though... I could use a lesson on smooth neighbor relations that don't compromise my rights.
