Nice Shavuos, though we were unexpectedly at our house instead of in Woodside. Still worked out nicely and had good company both nights and no company during the days, which was perfect, really.
Shabbos was uneventful. no company. Lots of sleep. Definitely a good thing.
rented a movie motzei shabbos. can't remember what. Maybe Seth will remember.
Sunday when Seth got home from work, we went and saw Shrek 2 at the new Majestic theater in downtown silver spring. It was great and the theater is impressive. We bought our tickets for Harry Potter while we were there. Saturday at 10pm. Whoo hoo.
Can't for the life of me remember what I did on Monday.
Tuesday (otherwise known as yesterday) was my first day at BearingPoint. Mostly orienting, so nothing too exciting. Today was much of the same, but I'm getting a slightly better feel for what I'll be doing. I'm fairly worried that I should have taken the DigitalNet job. Sigh.
Oh yeah, Monday I drove to Brunswick to pick up some boxes (a lot of boxes, actually) from Karl. Then I saw Jon and Laura. Then I came home, found out Lauren hurt her back, made her matzo ball soup (the matzo balls, I discovered later, were way the heck too dense...oh well), and then came home and fell asleep.
The commute isn't so horrible as I thought. I thought it would be far worse. I was wrong. I'm fairly happy with it. It took me about 45 minutes to get there this morning and almost an hour to get home.
I'm babysitting tonight, so I actually haven't technically been home. Therefore, if you calculate the time it takes me to actually get home since the time I left work, it'll probaby make for a four or five hour commute. That would be sorta sucky if I did it every day. ;)
I suppose that's it for now. I'm exhausted. Hopefully the Felds will come home soon so I can go curl up in bed. :)
