No, it makes sense even if you were only having one or only even still planning on one. Minivans are just easier with multiple kids (multiple, including two) and having the car die meant that you had to plan for the future RIGHT AWAY.

I was just being a smartass because it comes more naturally to me than 'OMG babiez!' ;-)

Rest assured, you are not the only one to say "that explains the minivan" to us! More than one person figured I must be pregnant (with one) when we bought the minivan. Though we are by no means the only people in our neighborhood with one kid and a minivan. (Ian & Alida, for example bought a minivan when they had only one kid... now she's expecting their second)

Heh. No wonder it almost made it into the FAQ, then.

I honestly didn't think anything of it at the time other than 'damn, I hate driving my Mom's minivan, but whatever floats their boat.' ;-)

Our minivan rocks. It drives like a car. I always hated driving minivans before, but driving this one was easy.
