I wish I had time
I wish I had time to write a real update. You know, one where I tell you all about the stuff that's been going on that has left me too busy to do a real update. But I don't. Things at work are incredibly busy and it seems like the evenings are even worse these days. I hope someday things calm down.

For now, here's a quick run down of things I'd like to write about:

  • The tower of Chanukah Presents for Julian sitting in our sunroom. Holy crap that kid has a lot of people who love him. Thank you notes are going to take me a LONG time this year. (But I don't mind).
  • The kerfuffle with Julian's school and our possible solution.
  • The fact that I officially did not qualify for the migraine study. I got far too many migraines in the 30 day headache diary thingy. Oh well. At least now I don't have to question my decision to skip the migraine study. It has been taken out of my hands.
  • The way in which my insurance dilemma may be solved.
  • The busy/craziness at work, including how I almost had my badge confiscated last night.
  • The fact that I am neither the banquet chair NOR the journal chair this year and how awesome that would be if I weren't still doing stuff for the banquet and journal chairs anyway. Sheesh.
  • This week's Shabbos dinner menu (similar to last week's so not that interesting anyway.

And, you know, probably lots of other stuff. There's just so much going on and I really must get back to work, because there's so much to do and Shabbos is coming REALLY SOON.

1. We also have a present in mind for Julian but wanted to run it by you first to make sure you'll think he'd like it and to see if he already has it. It's from Cars, of course. I mean, what else is there?
2. I already told you how I felt about Julian's school thing. Badly done by them, but I guess you just have to move on from it and hope for a better situation.
3. Now you don't have to worry "what if" regarding the migraine study
4. It would be awesome if you killed two birds with one stone regarding the insurance issue.
5. Please do tell about the badge..
6. Just say NO to all of those people who will gladly sap all of your energy regarding that damn banquet. Enough already!
7. One day we will have shabbos together~!

Hi, I saw you over in fertility_issues, and checked out your journal (you said you had a blogger blog too ? - I do too -- Wazika.net, but I don't say a word about infertility there, instead it's all locked up here in my secret journal....although I am kind of getting near to "fessing up" (something you mention in your userbio). Because you are right, it isn't fair to other women who feel like they are the only ones experiencing this. Anyway, I was wondering if you would be interested in befriending each other?

I do have a blogger blog, but I don't advertise it much. I started it because some of the best infertile myrtle bloggers in the blogosphere are on blogger, typepad, and wordpress, so it was easier to have a non-LJ blog.

My version of "fessing up" has been to be very open about the fact that we have fertility issues are, what my specific diagnosis is (anovulation/PCOS), and to readily give general information about what we've been through (4 years TTC, 5 cycles of Clomid, 4 IUIs, 1 pregnancy, 1 miscarriage). What I'm not open about is the specifics of any particular cycle... I don't tell people when I'm having an IUI, etc until after the fact (except under a very controlled filter of people I don't know in real life).

At any rate, I added you as a friend. Welcome to my babbling blither. :)
