Barney (no, not the purple dinosaur)
So I've got kidney stone number 9.
I've named him Barney (as in Barney Rubble). I've already had a Fred.

I'm supremely pissed off about this, just for the record.

Current Mood: annoyed annoyed

This one I'll probably have to suffer through again. It's too small to do anything about.

I see my doctor today, so maybe there'll be more answers.

I personally don't think this is what's been causing all the problems for the last two months. I've had pain exclusively on the right side, fevers, nausea, etc. ... but this little rascal is on the LEFT side. Which is weird because I've never had one on the Left side!

I also have another kidney infection. Just can't seem to shake those suckers. So maybe that's what's been causing all the pain.

Here's hoping that my doctor has some good words for me today.

Argh. That stinks.

Does your doctor have a theory about what's causing these, and if so is he doing something to prevent number 9??

We'll find out today. I have a doctor's appointment in 45 minutes. Happy Birthday to Me. Well, maybe it will be a happy birthday if he figures out what to do.

I definitely do NOT want to think up a 10th name. I can sympathize with all those parents out there with a gazillion kids. What on earth do you name all of them?

I'm sorry you are having so much trouble. My understanding from people who have done both is that passing kidney stones is more painful than childbirth, so at least you know you've had the worst and survived.

Hopefully clearing up the infection will take care of the pain.

Have a very happy birthday anyway.

Sorry to hear this. I hope you feel better quickly, and that you've had a somewhat happy day anyway.

Thanks for your well wishes. I had a reasonably happy day. I slept through much of it, which was probably a good thing.

Then I went to the doctor and he told me he's not sure what's wrong with me (the kidney stone is not what's been causing all these problems for the last two months) and he referred me to another doctor, so we'll see how that goes.

Then my sweetie brought me kosher krispy kremes and flowers. He rocks.

All in all, my birthday didn't completely suck. :) I'm hoping I feel better in time for Seth's birthday (Feb. 4th).
