yuck - Karen's Musings
Random Rambling
Of the good:
Pesach is over and I made it through without any cravings for chometz. Honestly, food wasn't much different than normal weeks, except not so much with the prepared foods.

Of the better:
I got Kosher Krispy Kremes after the holiday ended. Yum.

Of the bad:
Seth was miserably sick all weekend with some sort of horrible stomach virus.

Of the worse:
Now I think I have it.

Of the tragic:
I'm throwing up, but I have to be at work tomorrow. I've got a Wednesday morning deadline for two systems, which is going to take all day Monday and all day Tuesday to produce. Ugh.

Of the pretty darned cool:
I beat Seth in Carcassonne tonight. Hooray.

Current Mood: cold ugh

yeah, well, as it turned out, I didn't go to work today. Which is going to kill me tomorrow, but every time I thought I might be able to go, I got up and threw up. Sorry for the graphic details. Bleh. So I've been asleep basically all day, and that's just fine with me.

Ugh! No chicken soup! I'd settle for holding down water at this point!

Hate to say it, but a (non-Jewish) friend with stomach woes last week said what helped was eating some matza...

Refuah shlaimah, to both of you.

matzah really doesn't bother me, even right after pesach, probably because I don't really load up on it except at the sedarim. If I can keep some water and/or flat coke down, I might try matzah, because I'm really desperate to have something in my stomach.

:( on the sickness

:) on Carcassonne!!!!

We went out for a very late post-Pesach dinner. I had pizza. I didn't do so well with my chometz cravings - we were at the mall last week and there is a bakery. It was torture but I contented myself with a longing glance.

good for you!

Just remember when you get cravings during pesach to remind yourself that it's only a week. You've probably gone a week without bakery goods before without realizing it.

Refuah sheleimah
Get well quick
Don't be sick

That's what we sing in our house when someone is sick ;)

I'm sure all the matzah did not help. I'm queasy myself this morning.

aw. that's so cute. I still feel like *bleepity bleep*. Bleh.
Matzah doesn't tend to bother me... though it probably helps that I really don't each much matzoh after the sedarim.

I hope you had a chag sameach.

Thank you. It was VERY nice. I was happy I didn't have to move out for the whole time like I usually do. Yours sounded nice too. I hope you enjoyed.

yeah, ours was pretty nice. I always chill out a day or three before it starts, but the three weeks before that are always really horrific. Somehow, I've got to channel my calmness for those three weeks!

I think it's inevitable. Everyone freaks before pesach ;)
