headache

weekend and hearing (or lack thereof)

People keep asking me about my weekend. I honestly remember almost nothing from the weekend. I'm not kidding. I can't remember Friday night. I can't remember if we did anything on Saturday, but I'm guessing not. I can't remember Saturday night. The only thing I remember from Sunday is that we took Julian and a friend's son, Dovid, to ExploraWorld in Columbia. I did not enjoy ExploraWorld one bit. I can't hear out of my right ear at all and the din in there is just horrifying. I couldn't hear myself think, and certainly couldn't hear anything anyone said to me. Additionally, ExploraWorld strictly enforces a 1:5 adult to parent ratio at all times. Right. It was very clear that our 1:1 ratio (Seth with Julian, me with Dovid) worked much better. I can't imagine having to chase Julian and drag Dovid around chasing him all at the same time. Too hard. So when Julian started wandering, Seth followed and Dovid and I continued playing until Dovid was ready to move on and then we went looking for Seth and Julian. Fortunately, the boys had a good time.

Speaking of not being able to hear out of my right ear... I know a lot of it is that I've been sick for a while, and PART of it is that I'm prone to ear infections, but this is getting ridiculous. I haven't been able to hear much, if anything, out of my right ear in probably 2 or 3 months. I know, like I said, that a lot of it is that I've been all congested and yucky. But this seems a little riduclous. Decongestants, antihistamines, and steroids have all failed to provide relief with regards to my hearing. So at what point do I worry and ask my doctor about it? I've also had a sinus headache for about a week. I am not used to sinus headaches. I'll take a migraine over this any day. At least with a migraine, I know how to get rid of it!
