Family May 2012

For a variety of reasons, I have been seeking an Orthodox Conversion. (I had previously converted Conservative) The tricky bit was that I came to this decision just a few months before our [Conservative] Wedding. For those of you counting, there are 12, count 'em, 12 days left until the wedding.
I've been working with an Orthodox rabbi nearby, but of course there hasn't been much time (he's busy, I'm busy, etc). For the last couple of weeks I've been having difficulty getting in touch with him, but we finally got in touch with each other and met this morning. I'm set to go to before the Beit Din and immerse in the mikveh on October 31st. This is good timing because I'm supposed to go to the mikveh that night for Pre-Wedding stuff.
I've kept pretty quiet about this up until now and many of my friends didn't know that this was in the works. I'm not entirely sure why, but I felt like I needed to be closer to some closure before I really talked about it.
Anyway, I feel good. Excited. Happy. Relieved.
