snuggle puppy
Sandra Boynton wrote a book called "Snuggle Puppy" that I often sing to Julian:
Well, I have a thing to tell you and it won't take long.
The way I feel about you is a kind of a song.
It starts with an "ooooooooooh"
It ends with a Kiss *smooch!*
And all along the middle it goes something like this:

It goes, Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooh
Snuggle Puppy of mine
Everything about you is especially fine.
I love what you are
I love what you do
Fuzzy Little Snuggle Puppy I love you.

And so on...

This morning, Julian was a real snuggle puppy. When he woke up I went and got him a cup of milk and then went into his room to rescue him. He took his cup, ran to my room and curled up on my bed on one of the pillows with his Pooh Blanket curled all around him while sucking down his milk. He's been doing that a lot lately. It's great because if I pop in some cartoons or something for him, he's calm enough for JUST enough time that I can get dressed for work. Then we turn the TV off, eat breakfast, and get HIM dressed for the day. Then Gina comes and I leave. It's nice time together. I wish I'd had my camera in the bedroom this morning so I could have taken a picture. I haven't taken pictures in TOO LONG.

Though I'm certain that all of you are breathing sighs of relief that I haven't been pestering you with as many pictures lately, his grandparents, I'm sure, would prefer more pictures.

Current Mood: cheerful cheerful

Grace has finally started to become snuggly again, after several months of, "Don't bother me with all that mushy stuff, mama, I'm busy PLAYING!!" She still doesn't like to be held still for more than a second or two, but if I lie down on the floor she will come and fling herself joyously on top of me (all 25 pounds of her -- ow!) and cuddle up and giggle and say "Mamamamamamamamama." It's great.

aw. Julian does that too. And he's pretty opposed to being held down for more than a second or two until he's ready for it. He has to be kinda tired to calm down long enough to curl up with you. Sometimes, though, if I'm laying on my stomach watching the Wiggles or something, Julian will sit on my back (straddling my back as if he were riding a horse).
