Yesterday was an interesting day. Julian was nice enough to sleep until 6am Sunday morning. My wondermous honey got up with Julian and let me sleep until a luxurious 7am!!. Seth went to shul at 8 and then to his Sunday morning shiur while I stayed home with Julian. I was a little grumpy because I think my body REALLY wanted to sleep until noon. Guess it's time to start being a grownup and give up my occasional bout of sleeping all day. Sigh. But we were fine and had a good breakfast.

Anyway, Seth later took Julian to the grocery store, while I stayed home to sleep. Of course, sleeping didn't happen because with Julian out of the house it was a great time to get things done. I did a lot of the dishes, and cleaned up the living room, and uh, maybe some other stuff. I got a zillion phone calls, which was nice, but strange. I never get a zillion phone calls.

Then Seth took Julian over to a friend's house while I made mamadeb's lamb stew. Yummers. I was a little nervous because I don't believe in making new recipes for company (seth's boss and family were coming for dinner) without a backup plan and I didn't have enough brainpower to come up with a backup plan. But it turned out wonderfully, so that's good. I had some leftovers for lunch today (I tripled the recipe give or take).

Seth's boss came with his family around 4:30. They were half an hour early. We weren't exactly prepared for them to be half an hour early. Anyway, we had a good time, and it was nice to be able to put a face to Marc's name. He told me all sorts of nice things about Seth and complimented his work several times. He predicted that Seth would be snatched up by another hospital in Baltimore in two years for a directorship. I told him I was surprised to hear him say that because by then Seth would only have 3 1/2 years of management experience. Marc said it didn't matter because "he's very capable." Wow. That was nice to hear.

With Marc and co. there, Julian's sleep was a little wonky, but he did well, despite being exhausted. All in all, a good day.
