Dammit. I feel icky. I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate colds. I… - Karen's Musings
Random Rambling
Dammit. I feel icky. I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate colds.

I fell asleep around 6:30 last night. Seth woke me up around 7:30 to eat dinner. He had gotten a book for me that I'd asked him to pick up at some significant inconvenience to him. I had insisted that I needed it RIGHT AWAY and that it couldn't wait until Wednesday. Of course, at ten 'til 8, I crawled back into bed and didn't emerge until this morning at 6:30 or so. And I STILL feel icky. Shouldn't a long night's sleep make me all better? Seems the answer is no.

So then I'm on my way (begrudgingly) to work this morning when suddenly I'm in pain from the top of my head to the tips of my fingers and toes and everything in between. And I don't mean that "oh, I went to the gym yesterday and now everything hurts" way. I mean agonizing, sharp, piercing pain. It lasted about half an hour. Now it's gone but my muscles in my arms and legs feel weak. It's entirely stupid. People must think I make this shit up, but I don't. And I was actually worried. If it happens again, I'm going and getting a physical.

Current Mood: sick icky

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's unrelated to the cold. But it's gone now mostly, so I really would feel stupid calling my doctor.

One day, driving to work, I had a sudden sharp pain in the throat that radiated into the neck (but NOT the shoulder). Was out of it all day. Went in to see the doctor. Turned out I had an esophagial cramp, as a result of a hiatal hernia. Actually, made me feel better, as I was worried all day it was some form of heart attack.

Sudden sharp pains can really ruin your day.

I'd be more worried if it were still happening. But I just know that if I call my doctor now that it's gone, they'll think I make this stuff up.
