New Stats
I haven't forgotten about posting stats, I've just not had a lot of internet access, so haven't been posting. Anyway, I'm extending the deadline until Saturday at 11pm. I will post stats after that. I realized that Friday was just not a good day to have the deadline, because if you guys posted comments after sundown or on Saturday, they'd end up being counted in the stats. So... Saturday at 11pm it is!

Yermie's still in the lead. Steve's come a long way, but he's still a bit behind. Dr Mellow is just a big slacker, but we knew that. ;)

Mass drivers on continental drift:

By "Mass driver", what are you referring to? Sunday Morning Catholics? Really heavy golf clubs? Big Rig Truckers?

Swahili... that could be different.

Muppets are always good.

Other people's journals.

I don't post in other people's journals.

I don't even post in my own.

And of course, I never lie.

Er, a question/observation:

Why does there seem to be a contest as to who can comment most? How important is it really? (Note: I'm not trying to pick on you for posting the stats, but -- well, what's the significance in the grand scheme of things?)

As work has picked up again, I'll likely find myself satisfied with a top five finish.

It's pretty sad that I've only seemed to respond to this when you post the stats.

Can I claim the 18 Anonymous comments as my own? You can't prove that they're not mine.
yermie From: yermie Date: June 22nd, 2004 02:18 pm (UTC) (Link)
No.

I can prove it.

I made them all.

see, that proves it.

Too bad I'm too ethical to make a program that will do this for me and let me win.
yermie From: yermie Date: June 22nd, 2004 02:15 pm (UTC) (Link)

interesting

Interestingly enough, we're not ethical enough to keep from spamming her inbox while we post, just ethical enough to make sure we do so personally...

because it's the little things that mean so much.

Threads

This topic needs more threads.

Threads are good. they are used to make lots of wonderful things, like cloth and suits and PANTS. without PANTS we'd all be running around half naked all the time, which, while it might improve our chances of world peace, would definately put a crimp in wintertime outdoor activities.

So remember, you should have taken a chicken out to lunch.

Whatever that means.

More threads

Cloth is an interesting word.

Priests are called "men of the cloth", but why? It's not like they're tailors / seamstresses... So what are they doing with all that cloth?

And where did they get the cloth from? Churches aren't exactly known for being good farmland, so where did the cloth come from?

I guess it's one of those mysteries that "man was not meant to know".

Re: More threads

But women might...

At least, if she can keep a secret...

Because, just because Man can't know it, doesn't mean Woman can't... or doesn't.

Coherency?

Why would I need to be coherant?

After looking over the posts I made last night (after 2 days of almost no sleep), it's amazing how coherently I put the words together.

Not that they make any sense, mind you, just that they almost make sentences.

Re: Coherency?

Maybe that's how spammers get their filter-defeaters... They just stay up for a few days, and then start typing.

With some of the ones I've gotten, it would definately explain a lot...

Falling behind

Must post more to catch up.

O, estherchaya, most esteemed and highly favored user. You have garnered over 100 comments to an entry. I am hardly worthy of your LJ presence!
yermie From: yermie Date: June 24th, 2004 08:32 am (UTC) (Link)

100+ comments

And what's really sad is, about 75 of them are mine...

But oh well. I'm trying to oust her as #1... (isn't going to happen, but I can dream, right?)

How many threads does it take to get a second page?
yermie From: yermie Date: June 24th, 2004 10:00 am (UTC) (Link)

How many threads

Does anyone know?

Maybe I'll ask Mr. Owl...
yermie From: yermie Date: June 24th, 2004 11:04 am (UTC) (Link)

We want more pages

How can we get more pages if we don't post our posts?

You! Yes, you! Son, Deal with it!
