raise
I got a 4% raise.

And here's the weird part.

There was some retroactive pay. For $31.95. That makes no sense. That doesn't seem to be right at all.

Oh well.

*shrug*

Re: Raise

not good for me. 4% of my salary equals an increase of $0.70 per hour.

Re: Raise

the percentage is good. And the review is good. But 4% of MY salary, versus 4% of, say, Seth's salary, is not much of an increase. And last year I got 5%. Plus, it wasn't retroactive to last March like I think it rightfully should have been. Still, I'm pleased on some level. The average is usually 3%

Re: Raise

I'm confused -- How can 4% be more for Seth than for you? Isn't it still 4%? Now if Seth got a 5% raise but they *called* it a 4% raise maybe...

Re: Raise

No, Seth makes double what I make. So 4% of his salary amounts to a greater dollar amount than 4% of my salary.

Get thee an LJ account!! I'll even give you a code for a free one!!

Re: YAY!!

We will have you for dinner.

Now, where do we get a large enough grill to cook both of you...?

Re: $31.95?

Sounds like a good deal. You traded a piece of wood that you weren't using for hundreds of pieces of wood that you use every day. What's not to like?
