Good News
Orthopod doesn't think that I tore my rotator cuff.  He gave me a shot of cortisone.  Something about my tendon and joint and I don't know, I wasn't really listening, but apparently the cortisone should fix it and if it doesn't, I should call him back.

Frankly, I'm just pleased to have some good news for once.

REALLY? that is one huge blessing!

the only frame of reference i have is cortisone in my foot. and that is screaming thrashing pain

cortisone in your foot would be a lot worse. This was cortisone into soft tissue. I've had cortisone into my hand and wrist - both of those hurt like a *&%$#@

ok i guess that makes a difference. i had a shoulder issue and i was going to have to get cortisone in it. the doctor thought i was nuts because i started crying hysterically after he mentioned it

Glad to hear it's not more serious. I hope you recover way quickly, so lifting the cuties isn't a greater challenge than usual :-)

Refuah Sheleimah!

Just keep your shoulder moving so you don't end up with frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis).

yep. that's exactly what my primary care doc told me yesterday. Frozen shoulder + toddler triplets = very bad.

For sure! Hopefully the cortisone will help - it really seems to (I do transcription for a rheumatologist).
