Touch Down
Seth's plane arrived about an hour ago (about 45 minutes later than scheduled, but that's not too bad). He's gotten his car and is now driving back toward Silver Spring. I will be long gone by the time he gets home, but it sure is good to know that we're in the same state right now. I'll see him this afternoon. Whew!

(and yeah, he is SO on parenting duty for a MONTH)

Current Mood: happy happy

Actually, I like football in small doses, and only specific times. For example, when Maryland went to the Orange Bowl a few years ago, I watched the game. Things like that. I hated football with a passion until law school. My roommate was determined to turn me into an American... and he had me watching football, eating pizze, and drinking beer with my Torts book in my lap a few Sunday afternoons. It was pretty funny actually.

Now, Seth... Seth HATES football. But that's because he hates all sports. I cannot believe I married a tone-deaf, soccer-hating, RPG-playing man. And, despite that all being completely contrary to what I'd expected in a husband, I adore him. Even if he does hate soccer. The jerk.

Allow me to clarify

I don't hate sports. I don't care for sports. My desire to pay attention to sports over other activities is minimal. I understand they are important to lots of people, but they're not important to me.

I pay attention to sports, minimally, but regularly. I understand that the Ravens are doing well, for example, and that the Orioles are in the same place they've been since the mid-80's - not in first. Yes, there are also basketball, hockey, and soccer teams to pay attention to, locally, but they're really not important in the grand scheme of things. That's all - not important. I don't hate them. I just don't spend much time on them.

Yeah well, except for the tone deaf thing, mine is a sport hating RPG playing man, too. However, when cooped up in a hotel in Stavropol he got absolutely hooked on Eurosport. We watched that every night religiously.

I am glad he's home..does he understand the payback arrangement?

Yay. I am so glad that you have such a wondermous husband to take care of you (singular and plural you)! Tell him I said I think he's pretty great, too. :-)
