I'm so busy I don't know what to do with myself.

Seth is sick. Again. Some kind of flu/virus-y thing. We are not happy. I am particularly not happy, but I'm betting he's not so thrilled either.

Julian is still two. This means that he is still exceptionally cute, but only when he wants to be. Mostly, he throws a lot of fits. That's okay, because, like I said, he's exceptionally cute the rest of the time. He loves school, he loves people, he loves books, and he seriously loves Monster's Inc. I need to find a new movie for him to be addicted to. Any suggestions?

Turkey Day will be quiet, but nice. leahmiriam and her husband will be joining us, plus my mother and Gershona (Julian's grandmother).

Work is fabulous. I really like it. But it's extraordinarily busy and it's keeping me on my toes. I feel a tiny bit in over my head, but that's probably normal. And I'm certain I'll adjust eventually.

I've barely been reading LJ, so if there's something you need me to know, email me. I've given up on keeping up, though I do catch a few minutes of LJ catchup per day. It's just not enough.

I hope all is well with all of you and that you have a happy turkey day.

So sorry to hear that Seth's sick again. Refuah shlaimah to him.

(It sound like everything else is good in a busy way. I can hope for another post or two over the long weekend, perhaps... :-)

yeah, he'd better get better soon. Or else.

Alas, I'm working on Friday, so I don't know if I really get a long-weekend out of it, but I'll try to get around to a journal entry sometime in the weekend. There's so much going on, I almost don't even know where to start. I'm also trying to get pictures of Julian (recent ones) up online.

I never thought anyone not working retail had to work the Friday after Thanksgiving. Bleah. I hope the holiday's a good one, in any case (and having so much cooked for Thursday makes Shabbat that much easier :-).

I second Toy Story (1 & 2), too.

Federal Employees do not have the day after Turkey Day off unless they take a personal day. I've always worked for contractors/consulting firms that have the day after Turkey Day off, but not Veteran's Day. My present company has precisely the same holidays as the Federal Government.

I had a dream that I served you cheese ravioli at my house. And you said to me "I also eat fish sticks." And mamadeb was also there, and she seconded that she would like some fish sticks, too.

Is that bizarre or what?

that is extraordinarily odd.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

"Finding Nemo" is a good thing for him to watch if he hasn't already. Totally cute. I think I have a copy of the "Emporers New Groove" which Rivka gave to us because she had three copies. Kids like it.

I hope Seth can recover soon. It's been a rough patch lately starting with the knee surgery.

He loves both of them. They are both "previous favorites"

Adults like the Emperor's New Groove too. In fact, it's one of my husband and my favorite movies. :)

I was kind of saying it that way because it is one of the few Disney movies I cannot stand. Don't ask me why, I just find it annoying!

Most people do. It just rubs me the wrong way.

Re: Movie suggestions

Finding Nemo was a past favorite. So was Aladdin. He does like Fantasia and Fantasia 2000, but I've never heard him ask for them by name, but it's been a while since he's seen them (since he's been on other "favorite" kicks). Maybe I'll try those again.

Re: Movie suggestions

"The Phanom Menace"

No one should be so cruel as to inflict that piece of crap on an innocent child.

Spirited away? It might be kinda scary though for him.

Labyrinth?

Glad things going well on work. Sorry about Seth being sick.
Possible movies:
Toy Story
Toy Story II
Aladin
Wizard of OZ (may be too old)

There are also DVDs of children's tv shows. Dora and Blues Clues are good and actually educational.

Happy T-Day to you, too! Sorry to hear Seth is sick, but good to see that you're alive and posting (albeit brief) again. Sometimes life is like that. I hope you guys can still manage to have a peaceful and restful holiday. Gobble, gobble!

Rivka's new obsession is "Lilo and Stitch". It cracks us up, too.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I hope you get snow. (Just enough to be pretty, but not enough to mess up traffic) :-)

Sure. If you want to chat about it, shoot me an email with your contact info and I'll call you. My email address is karen_cohen [at] comcast [dot] net.

He's really terrific. He's the kindest, most sensitive soul I've ever come across.

re: long distance, I'm not the starving college student, you are. Oh, and then there's the fact that our plan includes unlimited long distance, so it's really no different than making a local call. ;)

I'll give you a call soon. Also, I'm going to screen your original comment so people can't see your phone number.

And, um, er, what's your real name (first name only is fine!)? It'd be weird to call and say "Hi is this moss?" Unless, of course, Moss is your first name. And just so you know, I go by my English name in real life, so I'd likely identify myself as "Karen" or "Karen Cohen from LJ"
