exhaustion
I am so flipping tired.

And my back hurts.

Parenthood has a lot of perks, but good, solid sleep is not one of them.

Current Mood: drained drained

I'm getting supposedly sufficient sleep. But when he goes to bed, that's when we can get things done. So I haven't been able to keep my bedtime early, but I'm waking up at 5:30. Well, I mean, my alarm goes off at 5:30...I wake up sometime around noon.

I had mikveh duty last night, so I didn't get home and into bed until nearly 11pm. That was problemmatic, since the monster woke up at 5am. Thank gawd for Seth though...he got up with him and let me hit snooze on my alarm a couple times.

he doesn't have a sleep schedule yet? i can imagine! do you do the whole "put him to bed at the same time and wake him up atht esame time" thing every day? does he take a nap?

by the way...does he sleep wiht a pillow?

He goes to bed between 6:30 and 7pm and wakes up between 5 and 6am. So that's pretty regular.

His naps, however, are less predictable. He NEEDS a nap around 9 or 10 at the latest. But he won't always take it. So if he doesn't, he ends up with an afternoon nap. He naps for about 2 hours.

He has a pillow which he sometimes sleeps with and sometimes doesn't. Should he not have it?

ah that's good! asher's ready for his nap soon. i try to keep it regular etc.

gosh this kid is so cute. how can i tell him not to do somethign when he's this ccute!

you're not "supposed" to give a child a pillow. same reason as you're not supposed give a cihld a walker or a bottle at night...etc etc etc.

you're also not supposed to put anything in bed with the child including blankets. i'm evil. i put a blanket AND stuffed animals with asher. i was just wondering if i could give him a pillow yet and if so, waht size.

He's got a regular sized pillow, blankets and a stuffed animal. I knew you weren't supposed to give infants a pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, etc. But I think since Julian is so mobile and STRONG, that it's not a problem for him to have blankets and stuffed animals. I'm not sure he'd go to sleep without at least blankets.

yeah that's what i figured. i dont know the age wher eyou can give them a pillow. i'm sure it's a "break through." and i think asher would LOVE one. maybe....

oh, and putting him to bed at the same time and waking him up at the same time is good in theory. Except that we WERE putting him to bed around 7:30, but if he gets tired before that, he's a SERIOUS CRANKPOT and then gets too worked up to go to sleep. And there's no waking this kid up at the same time every day. He wakes up before us with VERY RARE exception.

yeah...asher gets to be crankpot man. luckily though, he's in a crib so we put him to bed and leave and he stays there. you've got a trickier situation
