wedding album!
We finally got our wedding album! I'm so excited! It's so purty. And on my way home from picking it up last night, they were playing Beethoven's 7th Symphony and I got in the car just in time for the 2nd movement, which is one of my favorite pieces ever. So yay for me.

So when are you going to come and see?

Current Mood: happy happy

Tyrant.

absolutely. He doesn't let me have ANY fun. He forces me to wear a sheitel and a skirt and stay in the kitchen baking kugels instead of leining torah.

Oh. Wait. Er...

ahahaha! And I don't have a husband so I can type just fine. I still can't lein torah though (or shallac my cats). Oh lament! My life has no purpose if not to pretend to be a man! I'm going to chain my leg to my kitchen table and call Zev.

Oh! Woe to me!

Read the shirt

It's times like these that I regret that I can only use one icon at a time.

Tyrant?

I'm going to assume you mean the oldest meaning of the word, which according to dictionary.com is "originally, an absolute sovereign". If you mean the later meaning, then, well, I have noogies for you. I'll send my minion yermie to administer them, since he's busy conquering the Eastern Seaboard of the US for me.

Cats + Hardwood = Amusement

I love it when they have no traction. It's like watching cartoons accelerate.

I'm all for it. Seth is the one that won't let me do it.

But we have wood floors now and I can shove the cats in the basement and vacuum the furniture and make Seth clean the floors before you come. How's that?

I know...it was just a good opportunity to bring up the shellac again. You know that provides me with no end of amusement. ;-)

As I said when I saw you the other week, I really do need to come up and visit. We'll have to arrange something soon.

yes, you must come. At least to find out if it's bearable.

how long have you guys been married?
estherchaya From: estherchaya Date: August 17th, 2004 11:42 am (UTC) (Link)
over a year and a half. It took us a long time to pick out which pictures we wanted. and even longer to decide we had the money to buy the album.

me and dan were married in jan '03 :)

but we didn't care about the pictures. not enough to make a big deal about it. we just let dans parents deal with it. they know more about photo stuff than we do anyway!

Since we were paying for our wedding ourselves, we dealt with all the stuff like photos and such ourselves. There were a few things I really cared about. The invitations (I was very particular and I spent a small fortune on invitations, but I still love them) and the photography (because after it's all said and done, what you have left of the day [other than your sweetie] is your photos)

We were married in November 2002. And we only just got our album, and haven't yet purchased albums for our mothers. sigh.

we paid for most of the wedding ourselves too. except we didn't want any photos or any of that stuff. dans parents insisted so they paid. we only wanted 100 people total. my parents insisted on an extra 50 and they paid. and my parents treated us to the hall. it cost $500 :)

The only things that mattered to me were invitations and photos. Seth wanted a big affair... well, big compared to what I wanted. I would have been happy with 15-20 people and a cocktail reception. He wanted 200 and a sit down dinner. We compromised at 100 people. And since he made me have the big affair, I insisted that it be done my way... black tie formal wedding. So it ended up more complicated than I'd originally hoped. But at least we've got nice pictures of it all...

mayhaps someday i'll come down and see them pictures.

half way through weddign planning, we wanted to elope in vegas :)

my mommy made my invitations and they were georgous! and when she mailed them...she got a spur of the moment idea and put glitter in the envelops (right around teh anthrax scare) and took them all to the post office, glitter spilling out everywhere. i got so many phone calls of ppl saying "you know...i got your ivite....all that glitter......"
